Residential
I successfully manage interior renovations and new home construction projects from your “dreaming about it” ideas through all phases of design, permitting and construction.
As a successful designer of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in Santa Cruz, CA, I’m an expert in maximizing limited space, navigating local building codes and regulations, and I’m passionate about sustainable design. I’m also dipping my toes into the possibilities that new technologies have to offer the construction industry — to be able to create something new, in harmony with your existing property.
Growing up in Canada, I learned how the best architecture responds to the nature of its site. During the years I spent living in Milan, Italy, I learned the beauty of designing small spaces to huge effect, how to be more efficient with our resources, and the art of how to live really well.
Working for large architecture firms, I designed some very large recreational homes — from private ski lodges for a special needs family with their own Olympic-sized skating rink, to a design for a new neighborhood with equestrian stables, and urban penthouses with sunrise and sunset views of the Pacific.
I have successfully managed mixed-use, multifamily residential projects from inception and schematics through permitting, construction and occupancy. I designed an entire neighborhood, shepherding it through planning reviews and an active community consultation, during which I was lucky to work briefly with architecture legend, Arthur Erickson.
